How far it travels, and who carries it
Paid, published and syndicated media planned as one thing rather than three. You bring the story, the budget and the audience you need to reach – we decide the mix and tell you honestly what each part will do.
One brief. We choose the mix.

Three routes to the same audience, priced very differently.
Paid media buys attention immediately and stops the moment you stop paying. Published content builds authority slowly and keeps working for years. Syndication multiplies reach cheaply but only if the material is genuinely worth carrying.
Most companies buy one of the three because that is what their last agency sold them. The decision should come from what you are trying to achieve, over what period, with what you have to spend – which is a conversation, not a package.
- Paid: fast, controllable, measurable, and it ends when the budget does.
- Published: slow to build, credible, and it compounds instead of expiring.
- Syndicated: broad and efficient, but only for material with real substance behind it.
- Together: published work gives paid media something worth pointing at, and syndication carries it further than either alone.
Anything with a reason for someone outside your company to care.
Six steps, and the mix is decided at step three.
Understand the outcome
What has to be true in six months for this to have worked – enquiries, market presence, credibility with a specific buyer, or all three. Everything downstream depends on answering this precisely.
Audit what you already have
Existing coverage, content, ad accounts and search visibility. There is almost always something already built that is being under-used.
Choose the mix
A written plan setting out how much goes to paid, published and syndicated work, what each is expected to deliver, and over what timeframe. Approved by you before anything begins.
Produce
Campaigns built, articles written, stories reported. Everything goes to you for sign-off before it reaches a platform or an editor.
Distribute and manage
Spend optimised, placements pursued, pickups tracked. Different channels move at different speeds and are managed accordingly rather than reviewed on one calendar.
Report against the plan
One report covering all three routes, measured against what we said each would do – including the parts that underperformed and what we are changing.
Media presence is no longer only about reaching people.
Then
Media worked in one direction: it put your message in front of humans, they responded or they did not, and the campaign ended.
Now
AI assistants assemble answers from publishers, portals and syndicated sources. What you publish and where it gets carried determines whether an assistant names you when your buyer asks – long after any campaign is over.
Paid media reaches this quarter’s buyers. Published and syndicated media decides whether you exist to the next few years of them.
One report, all three routes.
Separate agencies produce separate reports that cannot be compared. A single plan means a single view of what your media budget actually bought.
- Spend and cost per outcome on paid channels
- Published placements with live links
- Syndicated pickups and combined reach
- Search and AI visibility movement
- What performed, what did not, and why
- Recommended reallocation for the next period
Accounts, content and rights are all held in your name. Whatever we build stays with you if the relationship ends.
Built for businesses with more than one thing to achieve.
If you need enquiries this quarter and a reputation that lasts beyond it, a single channel cannot do both. This is where a planned mix is worth considerably more than the sum of its parts.
Honest note: if you only need one of the three, take one of the three. We would rather quote you a smaller piece of work that fits than an umbrella retainer you do not need.
- Companies balancing short-term leads with long-term positioning
- Businesses entering a new market or category
- Firms whose paid spend keeps rising while results stay flat
- Organisations with genuine expertise they have never published
- Brands whose competitors are cited by AI assistants and search results
- Teams managing three agencies and getting three incompatible reports
The things worth knowing before you start.
How is this different from Media Distribution & Digital PR?
Media Distribution & Digital PR is about getting your news in front of editors, portals, communities and named individuals. Content & Syndication is about paid placement and getting your content published and republished at scale. Many clients use both, planned together.
Do we have to take all three services?
No. The umbrella exists so the three are planned coherently, not so you have to buy all of them. Plenty of engagements are one service only.
How is the budget split?
It depends on your timeframe. Where you need results this quarter, paid takes the larger share. Where you are building a position over a year or more, published and syndicated work earns more of it. The split is written into the plan and revisited as results come in.
Can you work with our existing agency?
Yes. We frequently handle the published and syndicated side while an existing team runs paid media, or the reverse. What matters is that one plan governs all of it.
How quickly will we see something?
Paid media within days. Syndicated pickups within weeks. Published bylines typically four to eight weeks, driven by publication schedules. The plan says which is which so nothing is judged on the wrong timeline.
What if we do not know what we need?
That is the normal starting point. Tell us the business outcome and we will come back with a recommended mix and the reasoning – including the honest case for spending less than you were expecting to.
